Busy Start to 2013

Happy New Year! Wishing everyone a healthy and prosperous 2013!

Lührfilter Ltd have had a busy start to 2013, with the first project of the year starting in the last working week of 2012, with installation work continuing on site over Christmas and New Year and into the first weeks of January. This project sees the removal and demolition of an old bag house filter with replacement by a Lührfilter Unit at an Asphalt Drying Plant in Kent. The scope includes the design, manufacture and installation of a new belt drive fan set, replacement extraction and clean gas ducting. The filter is complete with a new control panel, with a remote HMI for control of all plant functions. The filter is also fitted with access platforms and staircases and is fully insulated. Work is currently on schedule and progressing well.

However, there will be little time for rest following the completion of site work and commissioning, as Lührfilter have 3 further projects which will run concurrently on from this one. The installation and commissioning team will be covering all corners of the UK, with a replacement filter on a Steel Grinding Mill in Gateshead, a new LEV Filter for a Lime Plant in Northern Ireland and a new Filter Bypass System for a Glass Plant in Irvine, Scotland.

Lührfilter hope to build on this success and look forward to working with all our customers, both old and new on a whole host of other projects throughout the year.
