Based in Burntwood, Staffordshire we are still ideally based in a central location for our customers in the UK. Lührfilter has recently commissioned a flue gas treatment system for Mastermelt Refining Services, based in Derbyshire. The system currently treats the flue gases from 3 off industrial incinerators which treat specialist scrap to remove precious metals. The system has been designed with the capability for additional incinerators to be added in the future.
The Lührfilter scope of supply included the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of a complete system to treat the waste gases from the incinerators in terms of temperature control, dust collection and the removal of acid gases, heavy metals and dioxins. More »Lührfilter Support Charity Bike Ride
Lührfilter Ltd were delighted to be able support their telecoms provider Ardencom, by officially sponsoring a charity cycle ride from Pontypridd in Wales to Brive in France, in aid of Mencap.
Managing Director Nigel Walker and Sales Director Stephen Henstock of Telecommunications Company Ardencom were two of 12 cyclists who arrived in Brive in the south of France in April having ridden 580 miles from Pontypridd, raising money for Mencap Cymru in the process. Dubbed the Battle 2 Brive, the ride marked the 15th Anniversary of an infamous 30-man brawl during a European Rugby Cup match between the town’s two rugby sides, known as the original Battle of Brive.

Happy New Year! Wishing everyone a healthy and prosperous 2013!
Lührfilter Ltd have had a busy start to 2013, with the first project of the year starting in the last working week of 2012, with installation work continuing on site over Christmas and New Year and into the first weeks of January. This project sees the removal and demolition of an old bag house filter with replacement by a Lührfilter Unit at an Asphalt Drying Plant in Kent. The scope includes the design, manufacture and installation of a new belt drive fan set, replacement extraction and clean gas ducting. More »Retirement of John Cotton
At the end of May this year, General Manager John Cotton retired from Lührfilter after over 30 years service to the company. John's wife Betty who also worked part time in the company also retired. The staff of Lührfilter, both in the UK and Germany wish John and Betty all the best for their retirement together.
John and Betty can now spend time indulging in their respective favourite hobbies of guitar playing and cake baking and decorating.
